You also can set the display style by adding a thumbnail image or snapshot of the post. This gadget can display a list of popular posts up to 10 entries.
How to add, go into your Blogger account. Then go to Design → Page Elements → add a gadget → popular post. Save the settings that you have done. Now, the popular post gadgets already appear on your blog.
